This family-owned gem serves up classic American and Italian-inspired sandwiches with an unmistakable passion and craft that shines through every bite.
The menu reads like a tribute to sandwich excellence: from the robust Italian Combo loaded with cooked and dry salami to the signature Hot Pastrami sandwich that many customers rave about. Each sandwich is a masterpiece made with high-quality fresh ingredients, artisan breads, and an array of mouthwatering fillings such as juicy steak with melted cheese, tender chicken, flavorful corned beef, and hearty meatballs smothered in marinara. One of the standouts here is their fresh-cut potatoes, which are more than your average fries. According to satisfied patrons, they have the perfect crispy exterior and fluffy interior, straddling the line between classic French fries and potato chips — a unique twist that truly elevates the sandwich experience. Garlic fries and coleslaw also make excellent side orders that complement the hearty sandwiches perfectly.

Absolutely delicious sandwiches from a knowledgeable craftswoman. I never had French fries as just sliced potato and fried. More satisfying than just sticks in all honesty. An excellent blend between french fry and potato chip. We tried the pepper steak sandwich with everything & the house hot sauce. A perfect blend of flavors and an extremely satisfying sandwich. We were lucky to be there when traffic was low and got to enjoy our sandwich inside. If your looking for a time tested sandwich place THIS IS IT!
Wonderful sandwich shop! Owner was amazing and very welcoming! Now the sandwich was the best part. Recommend the hot pastrami and ask him how he makes his favorite!
I visited this place once and loved it. The staff was friendly, the food was very yummy and their chip-cut fries were a standout. They’ve been around for 50 years and it’s easy to see why.
I had the hot pastrami sandwich, and I don’t think I’ve ever had a sandwich this good in my entire life.. not even my own mother’s! The quality of the ingredients, the bread they use for the panini… yummy. And the love they put into their cooking.. it’s a family-owned business and you can really tell. Everything is incredible. I’d give them 6 stars if I could! My favorite sandwich spot in the entire world. No kidding!
Classic sf spot. Talked to the guy. Hes pretty chill, got a few kids and just loves making sandwiches. He’s good at what he does what can I say. His name is romi or something like that. To be honest, not a big amount of meat but still really good. Super solid sandwich, I think my Beli gave it a 7.3 which is pretty actuate.
Call me simple but for me this is how I sandwich should be made. I went for the Italian combo with provolone cheese and no veggies. The sandwich was made to order, had a solid amount of meats and cheese. The bread was fresh and lightly toasted to perfection. I had the big Sammy and took me 2 meals to finish it. I will definitely go back when im in the area.
I just had one of the best sandwiches ever! The ingredients were fresh and packed with flavor, and the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious meal and great service!
I've been wanting to try this place for years! I've had my Fav sandwich spots all over the city, and Yellow Sub now will dominate that list! As they boast “The restaurant's welcoming atmosphere and affordable prices make it a neighborhood favorite, drawing in loyal patrons for over 30 years.” must try!
